How do I get a quotation?

You can either contact our sales team or use the on-line ordering system and select Quotation as your payment type. Your order will have the status of a quotation and can be easily converted to an invoice if you decide to go ahead with the purchase. If you are outside of the UK please check if there is a reseller for your country before buying directly from us.

If I don't need one of the packages can I just buy the modules I want?

You can buy individual modules you require, however if you can find a package that suits your needs it'll cost less than buying those modules individually. Also note that there are some module dependencies, Optimisation and HVAC require Simulation in order to work.

How do I renew my annual subscription license?

You can renew your license from the link in your renewal notification or via the Your Activation Codes page. We will contact you by email 30 days before expiry. If you renew before your license expires you will receive a 10% price reduction and the new annual license will run for 1 year from the expiry date of the old annual license. If your previous purchase was made using an educational discount voucher then you will need to contact us to get a new voucher code.

How do I learn to use DesignBuilder?

The best place to start is our online tutorials. These will take you through how to use the 3-D modeller, set up model data and run simulations. We also run one day training courses for Energy Assessors and more advanced simulation courses. Download the free trial and get started today!

How do I contact technical support for DesignBuilder?

We provide priority technical support for licensed users through the Support Desk where you can also view the DesignBuilder Knowledgebase. We do not provide telephone support for technical issues.

If you are running an evaluation version of DesignBuilder and have issues that need to be resolved before you purchase the product you can use the Support Desk.

You may experience problems emailing or uploading large files (> 10Mb) to the support desk. If this occurs please use Dropbox or a similar file upload service and send us a link to your data file.

How do I create a support ticket?

Just go to our Support Desk and click Submit a Ticket. You will need to provide an email address so we can contact you with the response. We advise you to create a login on the support desk - this is a separate login to the DesignBuilder.co.uk website login. A support desk login lets you track your support issues and keeps a record of your previous support questions.

Please provide as much detail as possible about your problem, including the version of DesignBuilder you are running and your activation code.
