HVAC tab in model data - Simple HVAC
Simple HVAC is suitable for use at early design stages or for other analyses where detailed treatment of heating, cooling and mechanical ventilation systems is required.
In summary, with Simple HVAC:
Energy use is calculated based on space loads and system CoP value.
Operational control provided by setpoints and schedules.
Simple checkbox adds or removes the systems.
Templates can be used to set performance characteristics of different systems.
Auxiliaries and DHW are modelled based on schedules.
Mech-vent, HR, nat-vent, mixed mode ventilation etc can also be modelled.
You can open headers to enter HVAC details where they are different from those loaded from the template:
