DesignBuilder is provided with a list of all the major international currencies. Each item in the list is a currency component which defines some key parameters associated with the currency, including the symbol, 3-letter code and conversion rate relative to GBP.
The currency symbol is used as a prefix when reporting costs within EnergyPlus cost outputs.
The date when the currency was added to the library.
This is the standard 3-letter code used to define each currency, such as USD, GBP, EUR etc.
This 3 letter code is used in DesignBuilder's internal construction cost reports.
The conversion rate used to convert from this currency to the internal "native " currency of GBP used to store all cost data. Units are GBP/Unit.
